KHAMMAM: Former Union minister Renuka Chowdary faced the ire of pro-Telangana activists here on Saturday, when they obstructed the ministers vehicle and shouted slogans against her.Renuka came here to participate in a private programme at Gandhi Chowk. Some pro-Telangana activists obstructed her vehicle while she was returning from Khammam and shouted slogans against her.They alleged that the former Union minister was working against the formation of a separate Telangana state, by pressurising people’s representatives against putting in their papers for the cause.They also shouted Jai Telanagana slogans, before the police intervened and dispersed them.Later, speaking to the media, Renuka said she was not against the formation of a separate Telanagana. However, she made it clear that Telangana would not come with the resignation of people’s representatives and appreciated the MLAs and MPs who did not resign.
