Telangana plunges Seemandhra into chaos, situation getting worse
The east coast high way or Coromandel national highway which connects Chennai and Kolkata has been shut in Seemandhra region.

New Delhi/Hyderabad: As the total shut down of Seemandhra enters the fifth day, the region comprising 13 districts of the state is plunging into total chaos. Two powerful leaders from the region, the YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu are on an indefinite fast opposing the bifurcation. The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is also openly opposing the division of the state, complicating the matter.

* The power situation is getting worse in many parts of Seemandhra. Electricity department employees have joined the strike.

* State government maintains that the power generating stations in Seemandhra are functioning. But, the supply has been badly hit.

* South Central Railway says the trains are moving on schedule

* Seemandhra has four civilian airports (Tirupati, Vijayawada, Vizag and Rajahmundry) with flight connection. The flight service to these airports is likely to be affected due to power shortage.

* The east coast high way or Coromandel national highway which connects Chennai and Kolkata has been shut in Seemandhra region. Tens of thousands of trucks have been stranded at several places.

* Essential commodities like milk, vegetables, meat, eggs, medicines, fruits have also become scarce.

* Mobile phone towers and Bank ATMs have stopped functioning due to no power.

* Sporadic violence continues in many parts.

*All educational institutions have been shut for more than two months.
