A man from the Mamidipalli village, Konaraopet, Rajanna Sircilla district, Telangana named Burra Ramu has made it to the headlines. As per Local 18 Telangana, he has purchased a Paddy Straw Baling Machine for packing the rice harvest quickly in bundles. He came across the idea to purchase this machine after watching its demonstration on YouTube. This machine has helped Ramu to get through the intense competition in farming and reduce the time and effort required to pack the rice produce. Due to less effort required in this work, the Rajanna Sircilla native can earn a hefty amount from the work, i.e.- Rs 7,000-8,000. Ramu has completed his education and used to stay at home to perform farm-related tasks.
Ramu’s profit share is increasing now as the other farmers have also contacted him to assist them in the task of compressing the rice produce post-harvesting. Besides the Mamidipalli village, the people of the Rajanna Sircilla district also wanted to take the help of his services.
According to Ramu, through this machine, the pressing of the rice bundles will take one to two hours per acre. The Rajanna Sircilla native said that he would bundle up to 40 acres of paddy with the help of this machine. When asked about the charges, he said the expenditure incurred would be Rs 30 to 35 per bundle. According to Ramu, the purchasing cost of a Paddy Straw Baling Machine is up to Rs 3 Lakh. He said that if anyone wants to get the rice produce compressed post the harvest he can assist them with the work. All he requires is information regarding the farm produce and other related aspects. Post this, Ramu said that he would arrive with his machine and complete the work on time. Compared to the past, the competition has increased and the Paddy Straw Baling Machine will help the farmers in having an edge over their competitors.
The Paddy Straw Baling Machine works similarly to the roller baler. The only difference between the two machines is that the Baling Machine has a piston mechanism. This mechanism compresses the rice straw into square bales and can operate continuously.
