NABARANGPUR: Nominations of two candidates for Umerkote by-poll were rejected by the returning officer Narendra Pradhan during scrutiny on Monday. They are Buti Bhotra who filed his nomination as Kalinga National Front candidate and Dharumuram Gond who was a dummy of Congress. While Bhotra’s nomination was rejected due to non-submission of a certified copy of his voter identity, that of Dharumuram for non-submission of caste certificate.After the scrutiny, another independent candidate Sunadhar Pakulu withdrew from the race.With this, there will now be a triangular contest among Congress candidate Jitendra Gond, Dharmu Gond of BJP and BJD’s Subash Gond.
