Bengaluru: A top Bengaluru based model was arrested on drug trafficking charges by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Though, the arrest was made few days ago, the city police confirmed it on Thursday. The model has been identified as Darshitmita Gowda and she was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
Acting on a tip off the NCB sleuths raided her residence and seized over 100 grams of cocaine-weed (119 grams of cocaine and 19 grams of weed) and other narcotic substances.
Darshitmita was not present at the time of raid but one of her boyfriends was present there and he was picked by the NCB officers.
During interrogation he reportedly confessed that he along with Darshitmita was a part of a gang supplying drugs to people in Bengaluru and its adjoining states. They also used to supply narcotic to partygoers and college students.
Darshitmita is a native of Chikkamagaluru in Karnataka.
