The Union territory traffic police have requested the public to inform them about any violation committed by any driver or persons driving posing danger to human life and any accident they come across.
The traffic police issued advisories in view of a few cases of drunken driving in the recent past, which caused road accidents in the UT.
Superintendent of police (Traffic), N T Sivadasan, requested all drivers to avoid drinking and driving vehicles that causes majority of accidents in the UT. He also warned against using cellphones while driving.
Sivadasan warned against rash and dangerous driving, and jumping signals. The traffic superintendent advised against crossing stop line at junctions. He urged the public to inform the control room over telephone no 100, if one notices any violations against traffic management and regulation.
