Two minor girls were allegedly gangraped in separate incidents in Meerut, police said.
The first incident took place on Monday night in Sarurpur area when the 14-year old girl had gone to fetch water, following which she was abducted by four youths at gun-point and taken to a jungle where they raped her, they said.
The girl was left in an unconscious state, police said, adding she returned home after gaining consciousness and narrated the incident to her parents who lodged a complaint with the police on Tuesday.
An FIR has been registered by the police and efforts are on to nab the absconding accused, they said. A case has been lodged against the accused identified as Yogesh, Rahul and their two accomplices after a medical examination of the victim, police said.
In the other incident, a 14-year old girl was allegedly gangraped by two youths in a moving car at Mawana town, 25 kms from the district headquarters here, police said.
The incident took place on Monday night when the girl was on her way to the market and two youths abducted her, following which she was gangraped in a moving car, they said.
The victim was later thrown outside the Inter College on the Meerut-Mawana road, police said, adding a case has been lodged against one Shekhu alias Bittu who belongs to Mavana town and Saifal, a resident of Amroha. Police have raided various places but have not been able to nab the accused so far.
