HYDERABAD: Two youngsters of a four-member gang, who committing chain snatchings to meet the expenses of their lavish lifestyle, were arrested on Tuesday and more than one kilo gold recovered from them.The gang was involved in more than 37 cases of snatching across the city. The two arrested, Mohammed Imran Ali of Yakutpura and Mohammed Rahman of Santoshnagar, were caught while speeding on a Karizma near Gaddiannaram crossroads.On interrogation, police found they were involved in snatchings and recovered 1.20 kilo gold ornaments from them.City police commissioner A K Khan told reporters that the gang used to target women walking on roads particularly between 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.The arrested duo were assisted by Hassan of Abids and Talib of Mangalhat. All the four are junior college drop-outs from reputed institutions.Speaking to the media, Imran said they used the money to visit posh hotels and pubs to party. “We also travelled to Mumbai and Bangalore via flights with the money,” he added.Imran and other associates were earlier arrested by the Golconda police in a similar case in 2007 but he was released within a day as he was a juvenile then. Later, Imran, his mother and maternal aunt were arrested by Rein Bazar police for setting ablaze a neighbour Nafees Begum over a trivial issue.Two non-bailable warrants are pending against Imran.Meanwhile in another incident, Task Force South Zone sleuths arrested four persons for cheating job aspirants.B Sudarshan Kumar, P Chaitanya alias Sai Krishna, K Venu alias Kranthi and Anil Yadav conducted telephonic interviews for 16 aspirants and issued fake offer letters to four by collected Rs 4.40 lakh from them.Khan said another accused, Abdul Sami, created a website clickindia.com and issued advertisements to lure job aspirants offering placements in multi-national companies. Sami is absconding.“Chaitanya used to conduct interviews through his office phone,” Khan said.
