UDF won by misusing power

KOZHIKODE: The UDF won the by-election in Piravom by associating with religious and communal forces, misusing administrative power and money, CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has said. He was talking to reporters in Kozhikode on Wednesday after the announcement of the victory of UDF candidate Anoop Jacob in Piravom bypolls.“UDF influenced individuals and organisations by misusing the administrative power. There was also a huge money flow at Piravom. By resorting to such malpractices, the UDF managed to resist the anti-incumbency factor to a certain extent and hence they could not celebrate this election result,” Pinarayi Vijayan said.
