A man escaped as a boundary wall collapsed on him when he was walking down a street in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj amid heavy rains. The incident, which took place on the Malakaraj side of the Rambagh railway station, was captured in CCTV cameras.
Here is the video of the incident:
According to reports, the wall collapsed due to heavy rain on Wednesday morning (July 31). In the video, the man, who is carrying an umbrella, can be seen wading through a waterlogged street as it rains. Suddenly, the wall on his left collapses on him but he quickly escapes.
Reports said at least six vehicles parked close to the wall were damaged. After being informed about the incident, RPF, GRP, and police personnel arrived at the scene and the debris were removed by evening.
The railway administration has started an investigation into the wall collapse. Construction work is underway at the railway station and a wall was built on the Malakaraj side, the officials said.
When it rained, about 20 m of the wall fell over, damaging two cars, an e-rickshaw and other vehicles, officials said.
