UP: Women asked to sleep on floor near washrooms for sterilisation surgery in Chandauli

Chandauli: In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh, doctors performed sterilisation surgery on 27 women and asked them to sleep on the floor next to the washrooms in Chandauli district.

The incident took place in a sterilisation camp in Niyamatabad PHC of Chandauli. There were no beds in the hospital and the women had to sleep on the floor.

Angry relatives protested at the hospital and also alleged that hospital authorities abused them when they complained about the pathetic conditions.

The District Collector has ordered a probe into the incident.
