A group of persons on Friday chased away lovers assembled at Jubilee Park in Jamshedpur and made a bonfire of Valentine's Day greeting cards before being rounded up by the police.
The police said at least six persons, belonging to Rashtriya Manav Jankalyan Sena, a socio-political body, raided the park at Bistupur where some lovers had assembled to celebrate the Valentine's Day and chased them away.
The group was led by the organisation's president Krishna Murari Mishra, the East Singhbhum district, the police
said. The district administration had made elaborate security arrangement to maintain law and order during the Valentine's Day celebration.
