Vemulawada's Sri Sai Ganesh Seva Samiti Hosts 108 Prasads Offering For Ganapathy Puja
A large number of women devotees participated and performed special pooja.

Ganesh Navratri celebrations were held in grand style with special pooja and cultural programmes as well as bhajan in each mandapam. The members of Sri Sai Ganesh Seva Samiti in Vemulawada town of Rajanna Sirisilla district organised the Ganesh Navratri festival.

The women devotees offered 108 prasads to Lord Ganesh with devotion. A large number of women devotees participated and performed special pooja. Archaka Swamy offered theertha and prasadas after special puja programs. The mandap organisers said every day, special puja, as well as food donation programmes, are conducted at the Ganesh Mandap with great success.

While offering the 108 offerings, the women devotees told Local18 they were happy to offer 108 prasadas which Lord Ganesh was fond of. They said that Ganesh Navratri celebrations have been celebrated with great splendour for the last 7 years with the grace and mercy of Lord Ganesh. It is said that initially a procession of offerings was held in the city and 108 prasadas were offered with devotion.

Later, the Mandapa organisers distributed theertha prasada to the women. A couple named Maryala Padma-Prasad of the city presented special gifts to the women devotees who participated in the offering of the 108 prasadas.

Priests and Vedic scholars have said that if one worships Lord Ganesh with devotion during Ganesh Navratri celebrations, all problems and disturbances will be removed and all blessings will come. The organisers of the Mandapam said that many types of special pujas are performed like Mahalingarchana Puja, Ganapati Homam, Kumarchana Puja, offering of 108 offerings, Shankari decoration, Abhishekam to the Lord with 108 coins.

Besides, the Ganesh Navaratri celebrations concluded on Sunday with Maha Purnahuti at Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham. Lord Ganesh was worshipped with different Alankarams on a different Vahanam on all nine days.

Vedic students prepared a Ganesha idol and offered prayers under the guidance of Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham Director KSS Avadhani. The faculty-supervised the preparations and performance of the various rituals performed by the students.
