TIRUMALA: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) plans to construct a Dhyana Mandir at Vengamamba Brindavan here shortly as a mark of respect to the saint poetess Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba, who dedicated her life in service of Lord Srinivasa.TTD executive officer L V Subramanyam, who paid floral tributes to the poetess on the occasion of her death anniversary on Sunday, told media persons, that construction of the dhyana mandir is a token of their respect to the devotee who had started the practice of Annadaanam at Tirumala.He said that the new annadanam complex is named after her and TTD has also taken over the maintenance of Narasimha Swamy temple in Tarigonda, the native place of the poetess. The executive officer said that they have also constructed a kalyana mandapam there for the benefit of the locals and to conduct spiritual and religious programmes. He expressed satisfaction over the steady publicity of the poetess’ works and deeds.On the occasion, Subramanyam released a book ‘96 Nitya Stotravali’, a compilation of devotional songs from all the literary works of Vengamamba and penned by Tarigonda Vengamamba Vangmaya project special officer KJ Krishna Murthy. CVSO MK Singh, SE II Ramesh Reddy, garden superintendent Srinivas, health officer Bhishmaiah Naidu, Annamacharya project in-charge director PR Ananda Teerthacharyulu and others were also present.
