BHUBANESWAR: The 16-year-old girl, victim of gangrape, pointed out the two accused during the test identification (TI) parade here on Monday.The duo had been detained by the police after the victim gave her account of the incident following lengthy counselling sessions. On Monday, she identified them in the presence of a magistrate and the two were taken to custody before being produced before a local court by the Mahila Police.On Sunday, police had rounded up several people who were present at the cycle stand on Wednesday night. They then zeroed in on three of them. The two accused were identified as Narayan Behera and Bikash Biswal, both residing at Baramunda area. They were working as vehicle washers.The victim told the investigators that a teenager - the third one - had allowed her to rest at the cycle stand. Although he slept in an adjoining room, he was not involved in the incident. It was the other two who committed the crime.The victim, who was under psychological shock, took long to come up with her account of the incident. Police sources said, the girl was riddled with a sense of guilt since she had fled home and was on her way to Bhanjanagar when the incident occurred near Baramunda bus stand. Besides, she apparently had developed a fear for uniform which is why the Commissionerate Police used plainclothes personnel to counsel and get her to speak about the incident.
