THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM will not resort to any unholy political game to topple the State Government, stated party state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan.“CPM will not sabotage the government as it had decided to sit in the Opposition by accepting the verdict in the Assembly elections. But it would join all those in protest against the anti-people policies of the government. This government would meet a natural end soon. Then the party would decide whether to opt election or to form another government,” predicted Pinarayi, while talking to reporters at a press conference ahead of the 20th CPM state conference. He said the inner-party strength has increased as factionalism had come to an end.Pinarayi Vijayan said that the acceptability of the party had grown in recent years and could reach out to many segments of the society which had kept the party at a distance. “It is not a personal choice, but a party’s decision,” replied Pinarayi, when asked on getting re-elected as the state secretary.
