New Delhi: He sought to put an end to all the speculation by releasing a statement in which he apologised for his "transgressions", but golfer Tiger Woods continues to be in the headlines.
The world's richest athlete is now paying his wife not to bolt.
Tiger Woods has reportedly offered wife Elin $1 million every month to stay married to him.
The Daily Beast reported that Woods has offered his wife Elin an immediate bonus payment of $5 million to stay married in a revised pre-nuptial agreement that would give Elin a further $55 million to stay married to him for another two years.
"I am dealing with my behaviour and personal failings behind closed doors with my family," Woods said in a statement earlier this week.
The TMZ.com entertainment news website reported on Friday that Rachel Uchitel, one of Woods's alleged mistresses, did not take money from Woods to call off her scheduled news conference on Thursday.
RadarOnline had reported that Uchitel was offered $1 million by the golf star to keep his personal correspondence with her private.
