South Korean singer Park Bo-ram passed away on April 11, leaving a permanent void in the music and entertainment industry. She was 30. According to reports, the police found her dead at her friend’s place, in a restroom. She was enjoying a private party with two of her friends. Reportedly, when hours passed and Park Bo-ram did not return from the restroom, her friends entered the premises, to find her slouched against a sink, unconscious. The Namyangju Police Station said in a statement that they are currently investigating the matter to identify the cause of death. An autopsy request was sent to the National Forensic Service, whose results have now come out.
On April 15, Park Bo-ram’s agency XANADU Entertainment, released an elaborate statement, announcing the late singer’s autopsy results. It claimed that Park Bo-ram’s death was not linked to any “homicide or suicide”.
“An autopsy was performed this morning (April 15) to confirm the cause of death of the late artist Park Bo Ram. The autopsy showed no signs of homicide or suicide, and the exact results will be delivered to the bereaved family at a later date,” read the declaration, as quoted by Soompi.

A detailed overview of Park Bo-ram’s funeral was also included in the statement. It read, “The funeral parlor for the deceased will be set up in Room 21 of the Asan Medical Center Funeral Home from 3 p.m. KST today. The funeral procession will be held at 6 a.m. KST on April 17, and the burial site is at Seoul Memorial Park.”
The statement concluded with condolence offerings to Park Bo-ram’s “bereaved family” alongside a request from the masses to “refrain from circulating rumours and speculative reports”. The post urged everyone to remember the talented artist, pray for her, and never forget her “passion for music”.

Park Bo-ram skyrocketed to fame after she debuted on the singing reality show Superstar K2 in 2010. She was 17 years old at that time. Her excellent vocals won her the Artist of the Year Award at the 2014 Gaon Chart Music Awards. Some of Park Bo-ram’s memorable songs include Hyehwadong, Beautiful, I Hope, Will Be Fine, and Destiny.
