The Korean wave appears to have made its way to Madame Tussauds. To keep up with global trends and promote local tourism, the renowned wax museum in Hong Kong has unveiled its first-ever wax statue of Korean heartthrob Yim Siwan. Reports indicate that Siwan’s wax figure was unveiled at Korea’s ENA Suite Hotel on June 5, showcasing an uncanny resemblance to the actor, who was present at the event. During the unveiling, the actor posed alongside his statue.
Pictures of Yim Siwan with his wax figure are all over the internet. Not to miss, Siwan even chose the exact outfit as the statue for the occasion. He was spotted in a white and black combination.

During this time, he spoke about his travel experience to Hong Long and recalled visiting Madame Tussauds to see various wax figures of global celebrities. “If one day, my wax figure could also be displayed in this place, then I would consider it a mark of a successful life,” the actor had said.
The idol-turned-actor Yim Siwan, also known as Im Siwan, was a member of the boy band ZE:A before he made his debut on television. From his early endeavours in minor roles to bigger ones, Siwan’s journey shows his evolution as an actor.
He made his first appearance in the 2012 drama The Moon Embracing the Sun and gained immense attention. Since then, he has worked on a number of popular K-dramas, like Mesaeng: Incomplete Life, The King In Love, Strangers From Hell, Run On, Summer Strike, Boyhood, and others.
The actor is now all set to feature in Netflix’s popular survival drama, Squid Game Season 2. Siwan will join the show as a new cast member, as formally announced this year.
