South Korean star Nam Joo Hyuk made his first public appearance since he was accused of bullying. Attending the online press conference for his upcoming movie Remember, Nam appeared with co-star Lee Sung-min and director Lee Il-Hyung. The trio answered questions from the media during the press conference that was broadcasted live online, today at 11 A.M. KST.

During the conference, Nam Joo Hyuk even shared that his friendship with Lee Sung Min extended off-screen too. “The atmosphere at the set was phenomenal. Lee Sung Min was really approachable and friendly. Sometimes, he even took pictures of me dozing off," he said according to Allkpop.

In case you were unaware, back in June, Nam was accused of bullying students for 6 years from middle through high school. As per the reports, an anonymous tipper showed their yearbook as proof and stated that the actor belonged to a group that bullied students by stealing money, cussing, and more. The actor was accused of “torturing the anonymous tipper by throwing mechanical riffles at him and pulling away his chair." Meanwhile, a number of fellow teachers and students have come in support of the “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" fame actor.

Nam Joo-Hyuk’s agency Management Soop released a statement later in June, denying all accusations. His agency further said anyone making false accusations against the actor will have to face legal consequences.

The statement released on Management Soop’s Instagram stated (as translated): “We plan to promptly file an application for correction information with the Media Arbitration Committee against the media, taking responsibility for seriously damaging the actor’s reputation due to this false report. We will also file criminal charges against the media reporter who made the initial report and the anonymous whistleblower."
