Lighting plays an important part in decor, especially during festivities. The upcoming festival, Diwali, is known as a festival of lights. Lights radiate a positive energy. Even before lights, people used to light up a diya. However, as per Vastu, knowing where you should install a bulb is important, which can benefit you.
As per Vastu, the bulb should ideally be installed in the South East direction. Southeast is known to be the direction of fire and the flow of money. The direction is important because it is associated with every auspicious work. Due to the imbalance of fire elements, auspicious works can get delayed and create obstacles.
Hence, placing a red bulb in the southeast direction will strengthen the fire and help bring balance. All the hindrances related to money matters can be solved by doing so. If there is a washroom in the Southeast direction, then contact a Vastu expert for a remedy. Keep in mind that the red bulb installed in this direction should always be lit and never be turned off.
Make sure to never install bulbs in the west direction of the hall or living room of the house. You can consider installing a tube light in the north direction. Make sure to never light up a bulb in the south direction of the bathroom as it is believed to spread negative energy.
While placing bulbs in the kitchen, make sure that they are placed on the east wall. If your kitchen platform is towards the north, then place a bulb there as well. However, make sure that there is a light bulb on the east wall. As per Vastu, there will never be a shortage of food if you light a bulb in this direction.
In the bedroom, it is considered auspicious to put bulbs on the opposite wall of the bed. This is known to help with marital bliss. Also, make sure that all the bulbs in the house must be lit once in the evening. You can switch them off later on but never switch off the lights of the courtyard and the pooja room of the house. This is considered to be good luck.
