From the ’90s till now, the world has seen a lot of change but among the very few things that have remained unchanged is the love and adoration girls and women had for Arjun Rampal. He continues to be the heartthrob and has a stellar fan base and popularity on social media where he shares bits and pieces of his life, starting from workout videos to moments with his family, his obsession with bikes and a wholesome amount of other things. This popular model-turned-actor is an absolute fitness freak and absolutely loves fashion, not only because that is where it all started but also because he is too good at it.
Recently, the actor spoke to News18 when he was in Delhi for the launch of Longitude 77, an Indian Single Malt Whiskey. In this exclusive conversation he talks about his fitness routine, his dietary plans, what fashion means to him and much more.
Excerpts from the conversation-
How do you maintain your fitness routine, and what advice would you give to those looking to adopt a healthier lifestyle?
It’s just to listen to yourself and be honest with yourself and be aware of your actions. I think if you can put all those things together, so if you hear your body creaking, you can listen to yourself complaining, or you are feeling lazy, and you are observing these things, obviously, you are not taking good care of yourself, and I think it’s everyone’s responsibility to take good care of themselves. So, I think if you listen, be aware, and get up and move and have movement, you will be fine.
Can you share some of your favourite workout routines or exercises that contribute to your overall fitness?
For me, my favourite go-to exercise is running. I love running, and I run like 10-15 km. When I am running, I am just in sync with myself. It’s very very– it’s a great time of solitude for me, and I guess that’s why I run so much, and I just hope I don’t end up turning into Forrest Gump and keep running, running, and running.

In terms of fashion, how would you describe your personal style, and do you have any go-to fashion trends or items?
I mean, I think fashion is something, which is inherently you and what you are comfortable in. And for me, comfort and casual is my style.
How do you strike a balance between a busy schedule and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, both in terms of diet and exercise?
By just creating proper routines and sticking to it without a second thought.
Are there specific dietary habits or foods that you prioritize for maintaining your energy levels and overall well-being?
Yes. Basically, I mean, you have to keep about 40% protein, keep 30% of good carbs, complex carbs; and 30% of good fats. All are very important.
As a public figure, how do you approach the intersection of fashion and fitness, and how do they complement each other in your life?
I mean, I think it has all got to do with a lifestyle, right? For me, fitness is part of my lifestyle. It has nothing to do with anything at least when it comes to me, to be very honest. And fashion is, if you wear something and it becomes fashionable, then you have a fashionable lifestyle. So, I think it comes down to lifestyle.
What role does mental well-being play in your overall approach to a healthy lifestyle, and do you have any mindfulness practices you follow?
It’s very important, I think, to consciously be aware of what comes out of your mouth. I think that’s something, which I have learned, and I practiced, and we have to control that because once you have said something, try not to complain too much, try not to think negatively about anybody, and all the things that you don’t want to happen to you, don’t wish it upon anybody else. So, constantly be aware of those kinds of thoughts and chase those thoughts away, and by saying chase those thoughts, it’s very easy to get rid of negative thoughts, you just say it out or do some breathing exercises and really really be aware, I think, of what you are thinking.
Can you share any fashion or style tips that you swear by for looking and feeling your best?
If I really have to look really good, Gabriella is my go-to for that, she truly is the best and knows what will look good on me and make me feel good as well.
Are there any specific cuisines or dishes that you particularly enjoy and incorporate into your diet, while still maintaining a focus on health?
I am such a foodie, so my diet program is a real hindrance to my mental health in a way, but I love food. I love Indian food. I love Japanese food. I love Italian food. I love Korean food. I love all kinds of food.
