Tresind Studio, located on The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai bagged the second position in the 50 Best Restaurants in the Middle East and North Africa for 2024.

The love for Indian cuisine sees no border. The phenomenal mix of spices and rich curry items is loved by people across the globe. So, when the Indian restaurant Tresind Studio bagged second place in the recently-released list of the 50 Best Restaurants in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for 2024, it did not come as a surprise but as a proud achievement. MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants annual category, first released in 2022 is a culinary celebration that offers food enthusiasts an idea of the best places to eat in 19 countries in the MENA region. Orfali Bros Bistro, led by three chef brothers from Syria has been ranked at the top.

The official Instagram handle of Tresind Studio dropped the ranking list on the platform, elated at the honour. “We are proud to have our grounds in a region that celebrates cultural roots and has immense talent that pushes boundaries in every sense,” read the caption. The hard work and efforts of the team members and associate chefs were also acknowledged in the post.

Tresind Studio, located on The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai has been featured in the MENA 2024 list, thanks to the restaurant serving an array of exquisite Indian dishes. Chef Himanshu Saini from Delhi launched Tresind in 2014, followed by the experimental and conceptual Trèsind Studio in 2018. The official website of MENA reveals that the restaurant’s most recent tasting menu ‘India rising’ pays tribute to the country’s richly-infused 5000-year history and the “plurality of produce that has long stocked its larder.”

Some irresistible delicacies that are included in the exclusive menu include a Thar Desert speciality — ash-roasted artichokes served with lime chutney. Some items from the coastal regions of India are tapioca grits aamti (sour lentil broth) and puran poli (sweet flatbread). Diners willing to embark on the gastronomical adventure across subcontinents are also relocated to different parts of the eatery accordingly. The decorations have been executed to mirror the sub-continental dishes being prepared.

Since Tresind Studio offers an intimate dining experience, the bookings need to be done way ahead as the restaurant has only 20 seats available. The theme of the restaurant is inspired by the popular Indian phrase, “atithi devo bhava (guest is god)”. Apart from the lip-smacking dishes, it is the warm hospitality of the chef and the staff that makes Tresind Studio worth a visit.
