Actor Karthi recently gave a speech on the occasion of the music launch event of his upcoming Tamil film, Meiyazhagan. It is set to release on September 27. The event took place at the Codissia Complex in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The actor in this event shared that he has strong emotional ties with the city. Karthi claimed that this is his first big event in Coimbatore after his marriage. The connection this city has with him is similar to what the film Meiyazhagan talks about. That’s why it made sense to have this event here. Karthi also added that his roots and all his relatives are here in this city and this the main reason for hosting the film’s event in this city.
In the event, Karthi’s brother Surya was there as the chief guest. The audio launch event has created a huge buzz among the audience.
Meiyazhagan is produced by Suriya and Jyothika. Karthi and Arvind Swami are playing the lead role, with Sri Divya as the female lead. The film also stars Raj Kiran and Jayaprakash in pivotal roles, with music composed by Govind Vasantha. Other supporting actors and singers present at the event also disclosed that the film centres around Jallikattu. They mentioned that while the movie’s theme is based on Coimbatore, it was shot in Thanjavur. The makers of the film also revealed that the songs of the Meiyazhagan would become staples at future Jallikattu events.
