Adah Sharma on Staying at Sushant Singh Rajput's Flat: 'It's on Rent; The Kerala Story's Rs 378 Cr Not Mine'
Adah Sharma reveals she’s renting the late Sushant Singh Rajput’s former Bandra home, preferring it unfurnished to enjoy more space for dancing.

Earlier this year, news surfaced that actress Adah Sharma had moved into the late Sushant Singh Rajput’s former residence. Located on the sixth floor of the Mont Blanc building in Bandra West, Mumbai, the sea-facing duplex consists of a 4BHK apartment with a terrace. During an event on August 12, where Vikram Bhatt announced his upcoming films, Adah spoke about her new home.

When a journalist inquired whether she had purchased the flat or was staying as a tenant, Adah clarified, “I took that flat on rent. The Rs. 378 crores earned by The Kerala Story (2023) are not mine! Not just me, even my grandmother contributes to it. She argued that since she also resides there, she’ll also pay the rent. My mother doesn’t work, so she doesn’t contribute, but she cooks great food for us.”

Adah went on to reveal, “That house belongs to a certain Mr. Lalwani. I believe he’s settled in South Africa. Even Sushant used to stay in that house on rent.”

At this point, Vikram Bhatt humorously interjected, “And her house has no furniture. She doesn’t believe in furniture!” Adah laughed, adding, “Even my earlier house didn’t have furniture.” Vikram, intrigued, wondered aloud, “I don’t know what that means!”

Adah continued to laugh and explained, “It means that I like space. I like dancing, and when I dance, I don’t want anything to get in the way. In Mumbai, we pay for space, and if I’m staying in such a beautiful house, I’d like to move around freely! That’s why there’s no furniture in my house.”

Adah Sharma is set to appear in Vikram Bhatt’s directorial Tumko Meri Kasam, alongside Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, and Esha Deol. The film is one of four projects produced by Ajay Murdia’s Indira Entertainment, with Bhatt also backing these ventures.
