After Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan To Release In Japan Release On November 29, Advance Sales Starts From July

Almost after a year after Shah Rukh Khan broke box office records with Pathaan, he is now all set to rule Japan. It has been announced that, Pathaan will hit theatres in Japan on November 29. The distributor also revealed that the advance sales for the tickets will begin on July 5th.

The film directed by Atlee, will be releasing on November and will be distributed by Twin Films, a distributor of Indian films in Japan.

On their official Twitter handle, the distributor announced the release plans for Jawan, accompanied by a trailer and poster, highlighting it as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. They also revealed that advance sales for Jawan in Japan will begin on July 5th, nearly five months ahead of its release. Early ticket buyers will receive posters of Shah Rukh Khan from the song ‘Chaleya.’

Jawan which also stars Deepika Padukone and Nayanthara currently ranks as the second highest-grossing Bollywood film overseas sans China, with USD 47.60 million, just behind Pathaan which grossed USD 47.85 million.

Jawan narrates the gripping tale of a prison warden who teams up with inmates to expose corruption and injustice through daring crimes, leading to an unexpected reunion. In the film, SRK portrayed dual roles as Captain Vikram Rathore, an ex-commando, and Azad, the jailer of a women’s prison who is also Vikram’s son. Apart from SRK, the film boasts a stellar cast that also includes Vijay Sethupathi in a pivotal role. Joining them are acclaimed actors Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, and many more.

On the professional front, Atlee is currently busy with the production of the upcoming action film VD 18. It stars Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles. The movie is a collaborative effort between co-producers Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande, operating under their Cinel Studios and A For Apple Studios production banners.
