Alia Bhatt has opened up about the challenges of motherhood. Alia and Ranbir welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor in November 2022 and the actress said that motherhood does not allow any ‘me time’. Alia, who is gearing up for the release of Jigra, said that balancing motherhood and work is a challenge.
In an interview with Allure Magazine, said, “My main focus is managing both roles effectively while trying to carve out some personal time, which I haven’t been able to do. I’ll be candid—there’s no such thing as ‘me time.’ I haven’t even had a therapy session in the past two months.” She also spoke about Raha and said, “Raha is naughty, chatty, and sometimes shy. She’s truly her own person, but she’s very bright.”
Elaborating more on motherhood, she said, “Your soul is sort of fulfilled, but you are also always full of fear and nerves because of just wanting to do it right and wanting to do it well.” She recalled her parents’ advice: “Children come through you. They’re yours, you are a catalyst, you are a source for their life, but their life is not yours. Their life is theirs, and you just need to give them the tools to deal with their life.”
Alia Bhatt will soon be seen in Jigra. The film’s trailer was released recently. The video opens with Alia Bhatt having a drink in a hotel and talking about her brother. She says that there is very little time and she has to do a lot. As the video proceeds, we see that Vedang Raina is arrested and Alia is trying to release him. She is brave as she faces goons and even fights with them. The video also gives us a glimpse of their old memories. It will be really interesting to see her doing all the action scenes. The teaser was shared by Karan Johar on his social handle.
Last year, Alia Bhatt talked about Jigra and opened up about its plot. She had revealed that the film is a story of ‘courage, passion and determination’. “Just a little over a year later, we are ready to launch our second production – Jigra, a beautiful story of courage, passion and determination. I hope to consistently support compelling narratives that are authentic, and enduringly timeless and work with brilliant creative minds to bring them alive,” Alia added.
