The fate of Pushpa 2: The Rule’s release is now in jeopardy after widespread reports of Allu Arjun and director Sukumar’s tiff came out. They are not on speaking terms anymore, as per reports. Some parts of the shooting process are still left, as previous reports suggested that the last schedule would continue till the end of August. Now, with the two artists not being on talking terms and Allu Arjun having trimmed his beard, fans are upset that Pushpa 2 – which had already been postponed to December – might face delay again. Recently, producer Dheeraj, who has been a close friend of Allu Arjun, was asked about the current scenario by a media personnel during a press conference for the promotions of a different film. He was asked that since a social media video shows Allu Arjun jetting off to a vacation with a trimmed beard, whether it would affect the continuity of Pushpa 2 and if all was well between him and Sukumar.
Dheeraj refused to answer the question and politely declined it. He said that it was not the topic of discussion for the day and requested the media to not deviate from the topic. Fans have deduced that his denial to talk on the matter may be a hint at the rumours being true as Dheeraj did not deny the rumours as well.
Fans have observed that reports suggest the film is expected to conclude shooting in August. According to this timeline, Allu Arjun would normally be expected to maintain his long beard for the role. A viral video on X shows the actor boarding a flight with a fresh, clean-shaven look. Despite this new beard style, his haircut still reflects his Pushpa character. It’s also possible that the film’s team is experimenting with a different appearance for a particular segment of the movie. As of now, Pushpa 2: The Rule is scheduled for release on December 6.
