Anurag Kashyap Is Making Gangs Of Wasseypur 3? He Says 'Har Cheez Ka Universe Bann Raha, Jis Din...'
Anurag Kashyap said that making Gangs of Wasseypur 3 will bring him a lot of money.

Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur is one of his most popular films and brought him much acclaim. After two instalments of the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, fans are waiting for the third film. It was earlier revealed that work had begun on Gangs of Wasseypur 3 but the film came to a halt. So, will there be a Gangs of Wasseypur 3?

Anurag Kashyap told The Lallantop, “Nahi aayegi. Mujhe koi Wasseypur universe nahi banana. Businessmen alag sochte hain. Har cheez ka universe bann raha hai na aaj kal. Mujhe kuch nahi banana. Mujhe apni bohot saari alag alag filme banani hain. Wasseypur 3 uss din banaunga jis din langda lula ho jaunga. Jab mere paas koi chaara nahi bachega koi kaam karne ka, main Wasseypur 3 announce karke bohot paise kamaunga taaki mera ilaaj ho sake.”

Interestingly, Nawazuddin recently revealed that he initially turned down the script of Gangs of Wasseypur, calling it “bakwaas (nonsense). In a chat with IndiaToday.in, the actor opened up about his equation with Anurag and revealed the reason behind initially rejecting the film’s script.

“With great difficulty, only five dialogues were written for me, and Manoj Bajpayee had a few random lines. But when we went on the sets, Anurag ke andar ek jaanwar jaag gaya (A beast within Anurag was awakened). The way he started writing on the spot, with that story, the film was made. Before that, no one had a script for the film. Anurag had this vague idea out of which he decided to make the film,” Nawazuddin said.

He continued, “In the beginning, two or three days of shooting didn’t happen due to financial reasons. Later, Anurag told us to go and sit near a pond. He made Huma (Qureshi) and me sit there, and we blabbered something I had said during the workshop, and that’s how the iconic scene was shot.” “The next day, on a piece of paper, he wrote a few more dialogues for four or five actors, showed them from far away, and called for action. So this was the process of the shoot. But, because of Anurag, it became a habit for me to improvise on set,” he said.
