Making a surprise announcement during the Super Bowl, the global pop sensation revealed her upcoming album, in a collaboration with Verizon commercial. In the clip, the singer humourously attempts to break the internet but fails in every try before revealing her actual plans. In a clip that left fans eagerly anticipating, she said, “Ok, they’re ready, drop the new music.” Shortly after, on Instagram, the Queen Bee officially confirmed her eighth album, Act 2, scheduled to release on March 29. This album is the second part in the Renaissance trilogy.
The singer’s commercial featured a series of intriguing moments, including her in space, the concept of a Let’s Get Saxy soul album under the name yonceB, her as an AI robot and her unique version of Barbie, humourously named BarBey. Alongside the announcement, she also dropped two singles, Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages, exclusively available for streaming on platforms like Tidal and YouTube. The singer hints at a unique twist, as the upcoming album might feature country music.
In the stunning announcement video, Beyonce takes fans on a musical road trip, as she drives past a sign that reads ‘Radio Texas: 100000 Watts of Healing Power’ followed by a billboard declaring Texas Hold ‘Em. The brief but impactful clip also features snippets of Chuck Berry’s classic Maybellene and offers a sneak peek into a brand new song.

In 2023, Beyonce kick started her global tour for her Renaissance album, from May to October. The tour was later turned into a documentary that also featured behind the scenes moments. Meanwhile, during the halftime show of the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, the Break My Soul singer made a grand entrance into the stadium using a golf cart. Before her arrival, her family, including husband JAY Z and daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi, were spotted in the stadium.

Speculation about Beyonce venturing into country music gained momentum when she decided to wear a cowboy hat at the Grammy Awards, just a week ahead of the Super Bowl. The intriguing teaser released by the singer has now confirmed the use of country music in Act 2. While the singer has not previously released a full fledged country album, she did explore the genre in the track Daddy Lessons from her 2016 album Lemonade, which featured collaboration with The Chicks.
