Years after quitting Kapil Sharma’s comedy show, Chandan Prabhakar is now likely to participate in Bigg Boss 18. Several media reports claim that Chandan has been approached for the upcoming season of Salman Khan’s controversial reality show. Reportedly, talks are underway between Chandan and the makers of Bigg Boss 18 and the former is likely to accept the offer soon. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
Chandan Prabhakar became a household name after he featured in Kapil Sharma’s comedy shows. He used to play the role of Chandu Chaiwala and his camaraderie with Kapil was widely loved by the audience. However, he left the show in 2022. Chandan was not even a part of Kapil’s recent Netflix show – The Great Indian Kapil Show.
Previously, Chandan opened up about his decision to quit Kapil Sharma’s show when he told Pinkvilla, “I will not be a part of this season of The Kapil Sharma Show and there is no specific reason. I just wanted to take a break.”
Later, Kapil also talked about Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar leaving his show and revealed that they all had their own “different reasons”. Kapil was speaking to Aaj Tak when he said that he “no longer” produces his show, which is why he doesn’t get into salary negotiations. The actor-comedian indicated that the decision on who to retain and who to let go lies with the channel and not him.
Meanwhile, talking about Bigg Boss 18, the makers have reportedly approached many popular names including Zaan Khan, Meera Deosthale, Surbhi Jyoti, Kanika Mann, Shaheer Sheikh, Sameera Reddy, Deepika Arya, Somy Ali, Anjali Anand, Arjun Bijlani, Mansi Srivastava and Dheeraj Dhoopar. Stree 2 fame Sunil Kumar has also reportedly been approached for the show.
Adding to the excitement, Abdu Rozik is also expected to join Salman Khan as a co-host for one of the special segments of the reality show. Bigg Boss 18 is likely to premiere on October 5.
