If you, by any chance, missed catching Civil War in theatres or if you wish to watch the film once again, then you are in luck. A24’s new dystopian war movie is now available to watch on OTT platforms in India. This film, written and directed by Alex Garland, has its premise set in a dystopian future in the United States. The plot revolves around a team of military journalists who are racing against time to reach Washington, D.C. before the enemy groups reach the White House. The film has a star-studded cast that includes actors Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson and Nick Offerman in key roles.
This action thriller film will soon be available for eager Indian fans in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages from June 28. Taking to their official account, Amazon Prime Video India announced the news. “Buckle up for an adrenaline filled journey into a gritty, dystopian future," read their caption.

The much-talked-about film is set in a time in future when the United States is in chaos and rampant conflict. The story deals with follows a group of journalists trying to stop a group that threatens to overthrow the current government.
According to Forbes, Civil War is A24’s most extensive release to date as well as their most costly production so far. The film also reportedly performed exceptionally well at the box office and grossed over $112 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. Civil War is also A24’s second-biggest release after their 2022 critically acclaimed, Everything Everywhere All At Once, starring Michelle Yeoh.

The final trailer opens with an address from the President. He appeals to citizens to take up arms against “the Florida alliance and the Western forces of Texas and California" as they wish to separate from the US. It also gives us a sneak peek of the battles taking place in New York City and Washington.
Civil War was released in theatres across the United States on April 12, 2024.
