Dear Ajay Devgn, A Message From Suniel Shetty Ahead Of Maidaan Release

Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated film, Maidaan, will hit the theatres tomorrow i.e. April 11. The makers hosted a star-studded screening in Mumbai last night, which was attended by industry colleagues, critics and audiences alike. Alongside the audience and critics, many of Ajay Devgn’s fellow actors are also lauding his work in Maidaan. Suniel Shetty recently applauded the sports drama and appreciated Ajay Devgn’s role.

Sharing a poster of the movie, Suniel Shetty wrote on X, “Hey AJ! Word on the street is you’ve knocked it out of the park with Maidaan! Hearing some great reviews! Massive congrats to you Ajay, Boney Sir, and Amit Sharma! Here’s to #Maidaan smashing it at the box-office!”

Directed by Amit Sharma, Maidaan features Ajay Devgn in the lead role. The film revolves around the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim and the journey that led to India’s triumph in the Asian Games. It delves into the coach’s aspirations, challenges and triumphs as he strives to build an indomitable team. Alongside Ajay Devgn, the film stars Gajraj Rao as a journalist and Priyamani as the coach’s wife. Through its narrative, Maidaan also explores the coach’s confrontations with a corrupt football federation and various other obstacles.

During the trailer launch, producer Boney Kapoor disclosed that the film had faced delays due to the pandemic. Despite the setbacks, Maidaan has finally made its way to the big screen. However, it will face stiff competition from Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Their film will hit the theatres tomorrow on the occasion of Eid.

Talking about Suniel Shetty, he is set to make a comeback to the beloved Hera Pheri franchise, joining forces with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. The eagerly awaited film has been making headlines amidst reports and speculation suggesting that Kartik Aaryan could potentially replace Akshay Kumar.
