Dhadak: Jahnvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter's Much Anticipated Debut To Release On July 20

After introducing the likes of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra with his big-budget Student Of The Year, Karan Johar is set to introduce Sridevi-Boney Kapoor's daughter Jahnvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter.

Dhadak, being directed by Shashank Khaitan, has already piqued viewers' curiosity and the makers have now unveiled the film's release date with a new poster.

Karan Johar took to Twitter to share the poster and wrote, "#6monthstoDHADAK #dhadak releasing 20th JULY 2018! Directed by @ShashankKhaitan and PRESENTING #janhvi and #Ishaan @DharmaMovies @ZeeStudios_ @apoorvamehta18."

The film is slated to release on July 20, 2018. The Hindi remake of acclaimed Marathi film, Sairat, Dhadak, is a story based on forbidden love due to different caste of the protagonists. While

Sairat won accolades for its apt depiction and rawness, Dhadak might have a bit more of grandeur and colours hailing from Dharam Productions. The film is being shot at the beautiful locales of Udaipur and till now, cast-pictures indicate a strong chemistry between Ishaan and Jhanvi.
