Farah Khan BREAKS Silence On Bollywood Celebs That Demand 4 Vanity Vans: 'Now They Don't Budge...'

Farah Khan made a scathing remark recently about stars and their increasing demands pertaining to vanity vans. Farah went on to mention that some celebs in the industry require four vanity vans for their personal use. Adding to that, the director-choreographer also stated that the actors would only get to work only when their vanity vans arrive on the sets, thus highlighting their opulent demands.

In a recent video, filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan discussed how top movie stars have hefty demands, including requiring up to four vanity vans each at the start of their workday. During a YouTube vlog conversation with TV actor Dipika Kakkar and her spouse Shaoib Ibrahim, Farah revealed the behind-the-scenes necessities of actors, including multiple vans for their personal use and that of their entourage.

She shared, “Until the vans don’t come, they don’t act. Nowadays, each actor has about four vans for themselves. One person. One is for their gym,, one is for their staff, one is for them, one is… then the food truck comes, that’s separate.”

Having directed prominent figures like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Katrina Kaif, Farah is well-acquainted with the needs of big stars. She highlighted the shift in on-set amenities over the years, noting the luxury enhancements in vanity vans, from gyms to full-scale kitchens. Farah reminisced about simpler times when actors would make do with less, changing behind trees and using towels or bedsheets for privacy during outdoor shoots, in contrast to today’s requirements where actors won’t start working until their specialized vans are in place.

“Earlier, heroines would change behind trees, we would hold towels for them. I have done it for them. When you go for (outdoor) shoots you’d do it, even in Switzerland they would change behind the bus, use bedsheets to cover. Now the actors don’t budge unless their vans come,” she recalled.

Additionally, the features of these vanity vans have become quite elaborate. Akshay Kumar recently noted during the promotion of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan that his van is equipped to prepare special meals tailored to his dietary needs. Tiger Shroff also mentioned that his van is converted into a gym to facilitate his training between takes.
