Yami Gautam is in the final stages of her pregnancy which she announced during the promotion of her movie Article 370. Apart from basking in the professional success of her movie, Yami Gautam said that the prep to welcome the new addition to her and filmmaker and husband Aditya Dhar’s family is underway.
While talking to the Hindustan Times, the Kaabil actress said that her family has come to Mumbai to look after her. “My sister (Surilie) is going to join me soon. We are traditional, we don’t have a concept of making a nursery,” she added. However, the actress admitted that some adjustments have to be made which include baby-proofing after the birth of her child. Sharing her excitement, Yami Gautam said that this is the best phase of her pregnancy when only a few weeks are left before she embraces motherhood.
“My sister, who is a mother, says this is the best phase. I am sure there will be challenges as well, but we will get to know once we are in it. We are just very excited,” said Yami Gautam as quoted by Hindustan Times.
When asked about the filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s excitement levels over his first child, Yami shared that he is very happy and is taking the utmost care of her. She added that Aditya keeps asking her about her daily needs, things to eat and other. “He has got Amar Chitra Katha and Ramayana for me. My mom used to read it when she was expecting me and my sister,” Yami further said.
Apart from this, the Article 370 actress is also listening to late music legend MS Subbulakshmi during her last leg of pregnancy. The couple also keeps exchanging notes and discussing things about their future child along with guidance from their parents.
Yami Gautam’s movie Article 370 has completed 50 days in theatres. It is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and stars Yami Gautam and Priyamani in the lead roles. Yami Gautam played the role of an NIA agent in the movie. The film is set against the backdrop of the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
