Ramya Krishnan is a name synonymous with brilliant acting and commitment to characters. She was born on September 15, 1970. She chanced upon her photograph of an advertisement for biscuits. In this period, she was auditioning for the role of a female lead in a film. The director of the film inquired about her and located her relative. They reached out to the relative, and they responded by saying, “Go directly and talk to her.” The director then met her and signed the actress for her first film Vellai Manasu in 1985.
After appearing in Vellai Manasu, there was no stopping her. She became popular after her debut in 1985 and garnered mass acclaim during the period of 80s and 90s. The peak of her acting career was when she appeared in the movies, Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Jailer and Guntur Kaaram. She rose to prominence in her role as the powerful and authoritative Raja Mata in Baahubali, alongside stars like Prabhas, Tamannah Bhatia and Rana Daggubatti.
