Hrithik Roshan and the rest of the cast of Fighter are revelling in the steady success of the film. The action movie, released on January 25, 2024, has amassed over Rs 126 crore at the box office. The high-budget film, directed by Siddharth Anand, features Hrithik Roshan as a Squadron Leader in the Indian Air Force. For his role, the actor had to undergo a rigorous physical transformation. Recently, the 50-year-old actor spoke to an entertainment portal about how he prepared for the action film and how his priorities about work have changed in the last 24 years of his career.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Hrithik Roshan spoke about the difficult fitness regime and the shooting schedule he followed during Fighter. He mentioned undergoing three transformations, which took a toll on his social life, with a year passing without meeting friends and adhering to an early bedtime. The actor emphasised the need for balance, acknowledging that such a lifestyle was not sustainable for quality living. He expressed the importance of finding a personal place and engaging in activities that contribute to a fulfilling and enjoyable life.
He highlighted the importance of maintaining work-life balance and told the portal, “Sunrise to sunset and after that in the night, what are your days like? What are you doing in your day? What are your thoughts in the day? That’s so important. So your work needs to become 50 percent of your life. The other 50 percent needs to be your life”. The actor was also quick to acknowledge that many actors have to work around the year to provide for their families but he is not in that position.
Hrithik Roshan has often been praised for his physique which earned him the moniker of “Greek God of Bollywood”. He also owns the fitness brand HRX. Back in April 2023, he spoke to Harpar Bazaar about his fitness mantra and said, “Irrespective of the character I am playing, I train almost every day. But the idea is to train intelligently. I should know when the body needs an off from a particular kind of training and when to switch it for steady state easy cardio or taking a full day off. Training is a part of my lifestyle and not just a career necessity. I am a believer of the goodness that fitness and training brings to one’s mind.”
