Ishq Vishk Rebound: Rohit Saraf Had This Much Fun Shooting The 'Ultimate Dance Anthem' Soni Soni

The much anticipated sequel to the popular 2003 film Ishq Vishk, titled Ishq Vishk Rebound, is all set to release next month. This romantic comedy film is expected to explore topics of love and its complexities from a Gen Z perspective. The film, which stars Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Naila Grrewal, and Pashmina Roshan, has already piqued fans’ interest, and now with the release of its second song, Soni Soni, the buzz is even more. In the latest, Rohit Saraf shared a short BTS glimpse of the song with candid advice for his fans to express their feelings to their partners.

Rohit Saraf shared a short clip on his Instagram handle that showed recorded footage during the shoot for Soni Soni. In the caption, he wrote, “Next time you wanna ask someone out, don’t just say “I like you”.. say this instead.” Rohit’s fans surely can’t get enough of his dapper look in the song. One of them stated, “Inkaar karna mushkil hai,” while another said, “Those dreamy eyes and your smile ufff.”

Soni Soni is a captivating romantic song which features Rohit Saraf and Pashmina Roshan exuding their effortless chemistry and outstanding dancing abilities. Rochak Kohli composed the tune, while Gurpreet Saini wrote the lyrics. Darshan Raval, Jonita Gandhi, and Rochak Kohli crooned the piece. Vijay Ganguly has expertly choreographed the engaging dance moves. Set against the backdrop of an outdoor party setting, the song has the potential to be the ideal romantic anthem this season.

While the 2003 film Ishq Vishk was a major hit, starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao, Rohit Saraf stated that the upcoming film is not a remake. He stated, “It’s not like a remake of the first Ishq Vishk, it’s not a sequel to the first Ishq Vishk. The only thing that is common between the two films is that they belong to the same franchise. It’s a new story altogether. It’s a love story about Gen Z, what they go through, and it is kinda exciting.” The actor added that he would like to speak to Shshid Kapoor and thank him for this legacy.

Ishq Vishk Rebound is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani’s Tips Films. The film, directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, is scheduled to open in theatres on June 21, 2024.
