‘It’s True’: Jon Bon Jovi Confirms Son Jake Bongiovi’s Wedding To Millie Bobby Brown

Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, who has been in a relationship with Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi, for several years, recently exchanged vows in the presence of their family and close friends. While the couple has not publicly confirmed their marriage, the founder and frontman of the rock band Bon Jovi confirmed that Millie and Jake have indeed become husband and wife while appearing on BBC’s The One Show. When the interviewer asked about the rumours of his son’s secret marriage to the Damsel actress, Bon Jovi couldn’t hold back and mentioned that the newlyweds are doing well. He asserted that the wedding was a small affair and complimented Millie, saying she looked gorgeous.

According to reports, the wedding took place just a year after Brown announced her engagement to Bongiovi in April 2023. Confirming his son’s wedding, Bon Jovi said, “They’re great, they’re absolutely fantastic. It was a very small, family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be. Yeah, it’s true.”

The US Sun initially confirmed Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s marriage. A source close to the couple shared, “Millie and Jake quietly said their vows in America last weekend. They are planning a bigger ceremony in the US later this year but now they have legally married and done all the paperwork. It was a very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows.”

In a previous interview with The Times, Jon Bon Jovi shared his thoughts about Millie. The veteran singer mentioned that he has known her for the past year and has observed her strong work ethic. Bon Jovi expressed his belief that Millie and Jake will grow together in their own way, and compared their situation with himself, when he married his wife Dorothea as teenager, 40 years ago. He added that with the support of family, they will do well together.

In February, Millie Bobby Brown recalled her romantic and adventurous engagement story on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She revealed that Jake Bongiovi proposed to her underwater by giving her a shell, in which she found a ring inside. Brown excitedly accepted the proposal, but as she tried to show the ring, it slipped from her finger and fell quickly underwater. Bongiovi immediately dove deep to retrieve it, while the diver warned due to serious consequences. Despite the danger, he successfully rescued the ring. Once they reached the surface, he proposed again, with a ring that belonged to Brown’s mother.
