The star couple who have always been in the news for their on-and-off relationship for almost two decades now, are once again grabbing the limelight. Actors Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s relationship is reportedly in trouble. According to Page Six, the duo’s “marriage has ended”. While neither Jennifer Lopez nor Ben Affleck have commented on it or have released any official statement as of now, some insiders claim that the couple are already “living separate lives.”
Jennifer, 54, and Ben, 51, reportedly separated in March this year. However, Ben remains “very protective of Jennifer,” Page Six informs.
The rumours of the two separating had been in the air in May too when Ben remained noticeably absent from Jennifer’s high-profile events like this year’s Met Gala. He was also not spotted at the premiere of J.Lo’s Netflix film Atlas, which coincided with the Met Gala month.
As per Mirror, J.Lo’s social media activity had also added to the speculations when she liked an Instagram post about troubled relationships shortly after attending the Met Gala. The post read, “You can’t build a relationship with someone who is disconnected from themselves,” reports Page Six.
The media house also quotes an insider saying that Ben had “come to his senses” during their two-year marriage and wanted to get out of it. In June, the couple had also put up their Beverly Hills home for sale. They had bought it together the previous year, following their 2022 nuptials.
Post this, Jennifer was also captured vacationing in Italy with her friends in late June, without Ben.
Reportedly, at this time, she plans to spend time “with her children, family and close friends,” according to Live Nation, as reported by People.
If things don’t get resolved regarding their marital issues this time, it wouldn’t be the first failed relationship for Jennifer and Ben together. Even before their wedding on July 16th, 2022, the couple were engaged in 2002 after dating for a few months. However, they had called off their engagement then soon after and split in 2004.
