Kangana Ranaut Wants To Normalise 'Obsessive Work Culture': 'We Aren't a Developed Nation, Can't Be Lazy'
Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut says waiting for the weekend is a Western idea.

Days after becoming a Member of Parliament from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency, Kangana Ranaut has said that ‘obsessive work culture’ should be normalised. Recently, the actress-turned-politician took to her Instagram stories and shared a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he was seen addressing his team in the PMO in Delhi after taking oath.

“Together we have just one goal – Nation First. Just one intention – 2047 Viksit Bharat. I have said this publically, my each and every moment is for the country. I have also promised the country – 24×7 for 2047,” Modi said.

Sharing the clip, Kangana slammed Monday memes and wrote, “We need to normalise obsessive work culture and stop with the waiting for the weekends and crib about Mondays memes.” She further shared that waiting for the weekend is a Western idea and added, “That’s all Western brainwashing we are not a developed nation yet we can’t afford to be bored and lazy at all.”

This comes days after Kangana Ranaut defeated her closest rival Vikramaditya Singh of Congress by a margin of over 74,000 votes in the Lok Sabha elections, to become an MP from Mandi. Previously, the actress shared an Instagram post thanking the people from her constituency for her victory. “Heartfelt gratitude to all the people of Mandi for this love and trust… This victory belongs to all of you, this is the victory of your trust in Prime Minister Modi and BJP, this is the victory of Sanatan and in the honour of Mandi,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut was travelling to New Delhi on June 6 when she was slapped by an on-duty female CISF constable at the Chandigarh Airport. The female CISF staff identified as Kulwinder Kaur was unhappy with Kangna’s comment on Punjab ladies during the farmers’ agitation against the three farm laws, suggesting they participated in the protest for money. The lady constable was then arrested.

Later, Kangana also issued a video statement to talk about the incident and questioned “terrorism” in Punjab. “Namastey dosto! I have been getting a lot of phone calls from the media and my well-wishers. I am safe, I am perfectly fine. What happened at the Chandigarh airport today was during the security check. When I left after the security check, the CISF personnel hit me on my face. She abused me. When I asked her why she did it, she told me that she supports farmers’ protests. I am safe but my concern is, how do we handle terror in Punjab?” she said.
