In recent months, Kartik Aaryan and Sunny Deol have been occupied with their own projects – Kartik with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Sunny with Lahore 1947 – both being filmed in Mumbai. Sunny Deol dedicated extensive time to director Rajkumar Santoshi, while Kartik Aaryan transformed into Rooh Baba for Anees Bazmee’s project. And now, reports are suggesting that filming for both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Lahore: 1947 is scheduled to conclude by July 2024.
A source close to the project revealed to Pinkvilla that Kartik Aaryan and his team started filming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with director Anees Bazmee on March 9, 2024. The shoot is progressing according to plan, and they aim to wrap up by July 2024. Bhushan Kumar and the team are committed to releasing the horror comedy during the Diwali 2024 weekend. The source also mentioned that they prioritised filming VFX-heavy sequences first, followed by dialogue and comedic scenes.

Three songs, including Ami Je Tomar and Kartik Aaryan’s intro number, have already been shot and the team is bullish on them to hit the bull’s eye. The makers are working on a short teaser too to reannounce the date and this might happen sometime in July,” the source added.
The shooting for Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol, is moving quickly on Madh Island in Mumbai. Director Rajkumar Santoshi and his team recreated the Lahore setting from 1947. The movie is set to release on Republic Day 2025, with filming expected to finish by the end of June. They’ve already shot for 50 days, with just one more month to go. “Lahore: 1947 is looking at a Republic Day 2025 release and the shoot is expected to wrap up by end of June. Makers have already shot for 50 days and another month of shoot remains. It’s a mass film, but not loaded with action. The larger-than-life elements arise out of the dramatic moments and characterization. It’s a new side of Sunny Deol – aggressive, but fighting for the right,” the source added.
Lahore 1947, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, boasts a strong cast including Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta, and Mona Singh. There’s buzz that Aamir Khan might make a cameo appearance in the partition drama.
