Kannada star Yash has reportedly decided not to charge his market fee of Rs 80 crore for Ramayana. Instead, the actor is allegedly tying up with the Ranbir Kapoor headlined project as a producer, a new report has claimed. For the longest time, it has been reported that Yash is playing the ferocious Ravana in the Nitesh Tiwari directorial. The actor will be seen sharing the screen with Ranbir, who will play Lord Ram in the film, Sai Pallavi and many more.
While fans are eagerly awaiting his confirmation, a Zoom TV report has claimed that Yash has stepped in as a co-producer of the film. “Yash desisted the offer to play Ravan for a long time. He agreed finally only as a producer. Rather than accept a fee (of around 80 crores) he agreed to come on board as a producer,” a source told the platform.
The report also claimed that Ranbir has already received his fee for the project. On Tuesday, a BollywoodLife report claimed Ranbir is charging a massive sum to play the role of Lord Ram. It is reported that Ranbir has asked for Rs 75 crores as fees for the film. The fee is Rs more than Animal. A report by Pinkvilla in October that Ranbir, whose market fee was Rs 70 crore up until Animal, took a 50 percent cut for the Sandeep Vanga Reddy directorial. It was claimed that he charged a sum of Rs 30 to 35 crore for Animal.
Meanwhile, it is claimed that Sai Pallavi is charging Rs 6 crore for her portrayal of Goddess Sita. Although it is lesser than Ranbir’s fees, she has doubled her reported fees of Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 3 crore for the film. Ranbir, Sai, Yash and Nitesh are yet to react to these reports.
It has been reported that Nitesh Tiwari has started shooting for Ramayana and a few videos have also leaked online.
