Kriti Sanon Calls Stree 2 ‘Blockbuster’ As She Praises The Horror-Comedy Film, Says ‘Killed It’

Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 has finally been released and it has already created history at the box office. The horror comedy has received an overwhelming response from the audience. Kriti Sanon also praised the film and called it a blockbuster. She took to her Instagram stories and shared a long note.

Kriti shared the poster of the film and wrote, “Absolutely Killed it! It’s a BLOCKBUSTER! It’s a laughter riot with superb performances and an outstanding climax! @amarkaushik kamaal kar diya yaar!! Amar Kaushik’s much-awaited sequel, Stree 2, has stormed the box office, setting a new benchmark for 2024 with an impressive opening day collection of Rs 54.35 crore in India. The film, which released on Independence Day, has not only exceeded expectations but also emerged as the biggest opener of the year.

Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi, Stree 2 has carried forward the success of its 2018 predecessor. According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned Rs 8 crore during special opening premieres on Wednesday, followed by a massive Rs 46 crore on its official release day. This combined total of Rs 54.35 crore has set a new record, surpassing previous biggies like Kalki 2898 AD and Fighter.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 sees Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor reprise their roles from the original. The film continues the story of Chanderi, now haunted by the terrifying Sarkata, with the townspeople once again turning to Stree for help. The sequel also features several surprise cameos, including Varun Dhawan as Bhediya, who shares a special song with Shraddha.

On other hand, Kriti was last seen in Crew with Kareena Kapoor and Tabu. She will be reportedly sharing screen space with Dhanush in her next film. An official announcement is awaited.
