Actor Shubham Dipta, who gained fame with the serial Do Chuti Sindoor, is playing a prominent role in Mangal Lakshmi. He is playing the character of a rockstar in the serial. His performance is being appreciated by the critics and the audience. In an exclusive conversation with News18, the actor reflects on his journey in the TV industry til now.
Recalling his early days, Shubham Dipta said that he forayed into the entertainment industry through modelling. He started doing modelling when he was 18-19 years old. He said that he has been doing theatre since childhood and was always interested in acting. The actor moved to Mumbai after working in Himachal and Chandigarh.
While talking about his time on the sets of Mangal Lakshmi, Shubham added that he learned a lot from actress Deepika Singh. The actor draws inspiration from the actress. He said that she is very cheerful and she often laughs and jokes on the sets. The actor gained massive popularity from his debut daily soap Do Chutki Sindoor. Regarding this, Shubham Dipta said that his first serial was special because he learned to act on the sets of his debut show. He is now utilising the skills he learnt on the sets of Mangal Lakshmi.
To prepare for his character in Mangal Lakshmi, Shubham Dipta drew inspiration from the renowned musician Sonu Nigam. In a chat with Times Of India, the actor revealed that he even dedicately followed Nigam’s riyaz techniques to prepare for his role in the serial. It was a dream role for him, the actor added. “I’ve been a fan of Sonu Nigam’s music and I feel I manifested this role because my character name is also Kartik Nigam,” said Shubham Dipta as quoted by TOI.
