Get-Set Baby, Unni Mukundan’s latest film, rolled on Wednesday with a muhurat puja at Chottanikkara temple, Ernakulam, at 11 a.m. Directed by Vinay Govind, who previously made Kili Poyi and Kohinoor, the film is likely to start shooting on January 17. Get-Set Baby is a lighthearted comedy that explores the lives of an IVF specialist and is deemed socially important by its creators. Nikhila Vimal will be seen as the female lead, whereas Unni will portray an IVF specialist. YV Rajesh and Anoop Ravindran wrote the script. The latter is the writer of the films Gulumal, Georgettan’s Pooram, Romans, and Vikadakumaran.
Under the auspices of Skanda Cinemas and Kingsmen LLP, Sajiv Soman, Suunil Jaiin, Prakshali Jain, and Sam George are producing Get-Set Baby. The crew consists of filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan for editing, composer Sam CS, and cinematographer Alex J Pulickal.”I love doing films that are socially relevant yet entertaining,” Unni Mukandan had previously said. “Get-Set Baby! strikes the ideal mix between telling a heartfelt tale and adhering to a mainstream cinematic aesthetic. I have no doubt that this movie will win me over many hearts and fill me with love.”
“We are excited to produce this film, which is not only entertaining but also has an emotional message at its core. It’s sure to connect with the audience and the inclusion of Unni Mukandan is the icing on the cake,” the makers said according to a report in ETImes.
“Unni’s film career has been incredibly entertaining to watch, and he has quickly established a following. Get-Set Baby is a lovely tale that expertly combines drama, humour, and a touching plot. We are overjoyed to be working on this with Suinil Jaiin,” producer Sajeev Soman added.
Unni Mukundan also has Ranjith Sankar’s Jai Ganesh and Gandharva Jr, directed by debutant Vishnu Aravind, coming up
