Meet Ajay's Ramayan-Themed Singham Again Squad: Tiger as Lakshman, Akshay as Jatayu, Ranveer's Hanuman

Singham Again Trailer: Rohit Shetty is taking the Singham franchise to a whole new level with Singham Again. The trailer was launched on Monday with Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor in the house. The trailer has revealed Singham Again is heavily inspired by Ramayan. With Ajay Devgn spearheading it, essaying the role of Lord Rama, let’s take a look at Singham Again cast and their roles.

Singham Again Cast:

Ajay Devgn’s character Singham is heavily inspired by Lord Rama. However, he also has hints of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s traits. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan essays the role of his wife, based on Goddess Sita’s portrayal in Ramayan. Arjun Kapoor portrays a new-age version of Raavan. He is seen kidnapping Kareena in the trailer. Ajay sets off on a journey to save her.

While these three are the central characters, actors such as Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar are playing pivotal roles in Ajay’s quest. Tiger Shroff is seen playing the role that is inspired by Lakshman whereas Ranveer reprises the role of Simmba but this time, he is channelling Hanuman.

Meanwhile, we believe that Deepika Padukone’s character seems to be heavily inspired by Vibhishan, Raavan’s brother in the mythology. On the other hand, the trailer has confirmed that Akshay Kumar’s role is based on Jatayu.

Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor make their Cop Universe debut with Singham Again. While Deepika’s addition was announced during the trailer launch of Cirkus, Arjun revealed at the trailer launch that he reached out to Rohit Shetty for work.

“I feel honoured and blessed that Rohit sir chose me to be a part of this film. I’ve been to cinema halls to watch Golmaal and Singham. I, in fact, even reached out to him wanting to work with him. I also wanted to work with Ajay sir. I didn’t know your dreams could come true to this extent! I’m a bit overwhelmed by that," he said.

Singham Again will release on the occasion of Diwali.
