'Munde Kamaal De' review: Lame script, shoddy direction make it impossible to sit through this film
Of all actors who have been roped in the film, Jawinder Bhalla give the film its few honestly comic moments.

Cast: Amrinder Gill, Yuvraj Hans, Binnu Dhillon, Mandy Takhar, Jaswinder Bhalla, BN Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Sufi Gulati, Prabhjeet Kaur

Director: Amit Prasher

The one feeling that remains constant while watching ‘Munde Kamaal De’ is ‘I really can’t believe that I’m watching this film!’ But the fact that ‘Mundey Kamaal De’ is so poorly executed, so barefacedly annoying that it can actually be fun to watch, especially to those who enjoy every bit of a bad film.

Directed by Amit Prasher, the film revolves around the lives of Mandy Takhar, Sufi Gulati and Prabhjeet Kaur and their respective beaus - Amrinder Gill, Yuvraj Hans, Binnu Dhillon. Much like any predictable, run-of the-mill Punjabi film, ‘Munde Kamaal De’ too derives humour from the desperate attempts made to convince girls’ respective family members to approve of their marriage. And since grooms are differently-abled – mute, blind and deaf – they face difficulties in winning the trust of Bhalla Sahab (Jaswinder Bhalla). In their attempt to impress Bhalla Sahab, they seek help from a close friend Binnu Dhillon who is himself been combating problems because of his disability (he is blind).

Even though the film has a huge and impressive starcast (Amrinder Gill, Yuvraj Hans, Binnu Dhillon, Mandy Takhar, Jaswinder Bhalla and others), international locations, huge budget and comedy, it doesn’t succeed at giving the viewers what they need the most: complete entertainment.

‘Munde Kamaal De’ is the kind of the film in which the absence of a strong script and various other glaring flaws hamper its impact. Another disappointing aspect about the film is the usage of clichéd dialogues in situations that we have seen umpteen times in films. What makes the experience even worse is the pointless addition of songs to up the film’s glam quotient. But wouldn’t have we enjoyed had the director paid more attention to the humour quotient of ‘Mundey Kamaal De’?

Of all actors roped in, Jawinder Bhalla gives the film its few honestly comic moments.

‘Munde Kamaal De’ is a dead comedy. It could have been a decent film had the makers paid even slightest of attention to genuine humour. All in all, for true movie buffs, this is another crappy film that just can't be watched.
