Naga Chaityana and Sobhita Dhulipala left all their fans surprised when their engagement. The news was shared by Nagarjuna. The couple have been dating for a long time but never confirmed their relationship. However, with the engagement announcement it was confirmed. Well, with good wishes coming in for the couple from all corners, Nagarjuna has recently opened up about the wedding and also how he knew Shobhita before his son.
In an exclusive interview with TimesNow, Nagarjuna replied on the wedding date and said, “Not immediately, Subhash. Like I told you, we chose to have a hurried engagement because it was an auspicious day, and since Chay and Sobhita are very sure that they want to marry, we said, Let’s do it.” He further revealed that he was knowing Shobhita already. “Very much so. In fact, you will be surprised to know that I know her from long before Chay. Yes! Chay got to know Sobhita two years ago. But I have known her for six years. I saw her in Adivi Sesh’s film Goodachari and liked her work. I told her that. From then on, we have had many discussions on cinema, life, and philosophy. Sobhita is a very well-informed girl,” he was quoted saying.
On Thursday, Nagarjuna took to his Instagram handle and shared photos from the engagement ceremony. He is seen holding his son and daughter-in-law close. Shobhita looks beautiful in a peach-coloured saree while Naga opted for a traditional look. “We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!!

Naga Chaitanya was previously married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They dated for a few years before tying the knot in 2017. However, the two announced their separation in October 2021 i.e. after four years of their marriage. Back then, they had issued a statement asking fans and followers for privacy as they ‘move on’.
In February this year, Samantha recalled her separation from Naga Chaitanya. Even though the actress did not name her former husband, she said that the year before myositis was “extremely difficult”.
